Why choose STEPS Tutorial Center?
Our center offers tutoring not only in all subjects for all grades, but also offer tutoring services for college preparation exams such as the SAT and ACT, as well as ESL for our International students.
Here at STEPS it is our mission to provide tutoring services for students in a safe and positive learning environment. It is our hope that our center will be able to provide students with the support and encouragement needed to succeed in school and in their future academic endeavors and careers.
We also provide an afterschool program which caters to both our students' and parents' needs. The afterschool program is facilitated by our tutors on a daily basis, which gives our students the opportunity to finish their homework, get some study time in, or simply hang out under careful supervision while parents are still at work. Thanks to our prime location, if your child currently attends Harvest Christian Academy, staff is available to pick up your child in our company vehicle.
Lastly, our center offers one-to-one tutoring which students are solely focused on 100 percent of the time that they are at the center. Out tutors offer quality assisstance by getting to know their students and recognizing their strengths and weaknesses, which will help our tutors to focus on the areas that need improvement. At STEPS Tutorial Center, your child's educational needs are our top priority.
ESL Tutoring for International Students
STEPS Tutorial Center offers a range of English language courses, which are facilitated during morning operating hours. Here, one of our goals is to provide our international students with the opportunity to practice and expand their English knowledge and comprehension. We are committed to providing excellent programs to non-native English speakers from the ages of 6 and above.
We recognize that our students come from a variety of cultures and academic backgrounds, having different strengths and weaknesses, interests, and needs. The combination and intensity of the program seeks to enrich the students' language learning and help them achieve language proficiency. Plus, our parents get the opportunity to explore Guam, assured that their children are learning and practicing their English!
Facilities
STEPS Tutorial Center is a two-story, peach and white building with 4 units, each unit has two bedrooms and one classroom area, each featuring a split airconditioning unit, full kitchen area and bathroom. Our center can accomodate up to 30 students at once. Each classroom is equipped with a white board, table, chairs and teaching materials are provided. STEPS also features a vast collection of books and teaching materials, which both students and tutors can use . Our center also has FREE WiFi hotspot, just ask our friendly and helpful admin personnel for the password. Students may bring their personal laptop computers and other electronic devices to use for research purposes.
